Shareefa is a recording artist and was writing lyrics since aged 13, before poetry. She released a spoken word neo-soul and Jazz EP. She has worked on various projects working with musicians, been commissioned to write over music, doing voice overs over music for films, she has released songs produced by DJ Illanoiz in Chicago.

She has facilitated various music and film projects with young people at The Roundhouse, supporting them to write lyrics and rehearse with them whilst recording in the studio. She supported young people from Brixton Youth Theatre to write lyrics and built their confidence to record in the studio for the WOW Foundation.
